Donnafugata is Sicily, and Josè Rallo, CEO and head of management of her family’s wine label is telling its story through music. Here’s a little background. Donnafugata is a four-generation dynasty of wine that started in Marsala in 1841 but it became more than just historical when Jose’s mother Gabriella pioneered a new direction for the vineyards. In 1980, Gabriella and her husband Giacomo Rallo founded Donnafugata, a name with Bourbon backstory about a feeling queen who took refuge where the vineyard is today. 21st century Donnafugata is Sicily’s reigning queen of wine with multiple vineyards all over the island and a small island called Pantelleria where they produce an artisanal passito.. Josè creatively shares her family story through jazz. Listen in.
